The Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) has secured 64 out of 150 seats in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (Uzbekistan's Parliament) following the October 27 elections, as announced by Central Election Commission Chairman Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev at a press conference.
In the current parliament, liberal democrats hold 53 seats.
The Ecological Party has also increased its representation in the Oliy Majlis, moving from 15 to 16 seats. Other parties lost some of their mandates, with «Milliy Tiklanish» («National Revival») experiencing the largest decrease: in the new parliament, they will hold 29 seats, down from their current 36.
The «Adolat» («Justice») Social Democratic Party will receive 21 seats (down from 24), while the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) will hold 20 seats (down from 22).
