Members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan approved the composition of the republic's government after reviewing candidates for ministerial positions proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the press service of the lower house of parliament.
It was noted that, according to amendments to the country's Constitution, candidates for ministerial posts were nominated not by the Prime Minister but by the President. Initially, the candidates were reviewed by committees of the Legislative Chamber, followed by meetings with representatives from factions of all five political parties represented in parliament.
Each politician presented their action plan in case of appointment as a minister. In turn, deputies emphasized the need for effective cooperation between the Oliy Majlis and the government to address tasks set forth by the head of state.
Later, a decree on the appointment of members of Uzbekistan's Cabinet of Ministers was published on Mirziyoyev's website. It is noteworthy that all ministers retained their positions.

The day before, parliament approved the candidacy for Prime Minister presented by the President. This position was retained by Abdulla Aripov.
