Facsimile copies of the historical manuscripts Al-Tafhim by Abu Rayhan Beruni and Shahnameh by Abulqasim Ferdowsi, transcribed during the Timurid era, will be featured in the museum exhibition of the Center for Islamic Civilization (CIC) in Tashkent. This was announced by the press service of the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of Uzbekistan’s Cultural Heritage (WOSCU).

The facsimiles were presented to Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the CIC, during his visit to the Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization in Malaysia, where the original manuscripts are housed. The event was also attended by Uzbekistan's ambassador to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoyev.

“Currently, Uzbekistan is placing great emphasis on studying its historical heritage and promoting humanistic ideas under the initiative of our president. Eight years ago, by order of the head of state, the Center for Islamic Civilization was established. The purpose of our center is to highlight the contributions of great scholars born in Uzbekistan to global civilization and to research cultural and educational monuments associated with our country, whether they are preserved in Uzbekistan or abroad. Significant work is being carried out to study the contributions of great thinkers to global civilization and to explore cultural monuments. The facsimile copies of these manuscripts will enrich our center’s collection,” Abdukhalikov stated.

In return, the Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization received album-books from the series Uzbekistan’s Cultural Heritage in World Collections.
