An innovative medical clinic featuring robotic technologies from Germany, Turkey, and Japan will be built in Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region. The project will receive $40 million in investment, according to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan, citing a report on reforms and development plans in the region presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 28.

Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, hokim (governor) of the Andijan Region, stated that negotiations are underway—with support from Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad—to attract funding from Europe. These include €20 million from Italy for an agricultural cluster and €25 million from Germany for a modern agrologistics center. More than 30 tourism development projects are also being implemented in Khanabad, Khojaabad, and Bulakbashi districts.

The total portfolio of additional projects in the region now exceeds $1.1 billion. These initiatives are expected to create approximately 22,000 jobs and boost annual exports by $200 million, the press office said.

Since the beginning of the year, the region has launched production facilities worth around $1 billion and opened 344 new retail and service centers. Projects worth an additional $2.5 billion are currently being implemented. In the first half of 2025 alone, $850 million was invested in the region, with exports reaching $465 million.

Overall, the regional government aims to attract $3.1 billion in investment to Andijan this year, raise exports to $1.5 billion, and provide employment for 305,000 people.
