Jennifer Lopez’s concerts in Tashkent, Astana, and Almaty in early August boosted tourism, the hotel and restaurant sectors, and generated significant tax revenues for these cities.

On August 7, Lopez’s concert at the Milliy Stadium in Tashkent drew about 31,100 attendees, including staff, with 25,000 ticket buyers, according to Gazeta.uz, citing Uzbekistan’s Art and Culture Development Foundation. Foreigners accounted for 67 percent of ticket sales, including visitors from Russia (about 8,900), Kazakhstan (2,500), and other countries. Ticket prices ranged from 1 million to 4.2 million soums, generating potential revenue of 25–105 billion soums (about $1.97 million–$8.28 million).

The Foundation reported that the concert boosted tax revenues in Uzbekistan’s capital by more than 42.5 billion soums (about $3.3 million) and increased hotel occupancy by 25.7 percent. More than 15,300 foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan for the event, including travelers from the United States and Europe. Many purchased four- to six-day tour packages, planning their trips specifically around the Lopez concert. The large number of off-season visitors underscored the event’s significant impact on tourism, according to a segment aired on O’zbekiston 24 TV.

For visitors’ convenience, free shuttles were arranged, and security measures were enhanced. A total of 115 organizations were involved in preparing and staging the show, alongside 18 food courts and retail outlets. On the day of the concert, ridership on the Chilanzar metro line increased by 16,500 passengers.

The event was staged without state budget funding and demonstrated Uzbekistan’s strong potential to host world-class shows.

In Kazakhstan, Lopez performed two concerts — on August 1 in Astana and on August 10 in Almaty.

The Astana concert attracted about 10,000 tourists from more than 30 countries, mainly from neighboring states as well as Europe and Asia, according to Tengrinews. Visitors’ average daily spending on lodging, food, transport, and shopping was about $230, with an average stay of three days. Organizers estimate the concert’s multiplier effect at about 6.5 billion tenge (approximately $11.6 million), not counting ticket, airfare, or train expenses. The average concert ticket cost $200, while the average airfare was $310.

Tax revenues from the Astana concert are expected to reach about 400 million tenge (around $714,000). Officials stressed that no budget funds were spent on staging the event, with public support limited to maintaining order, fire safety, and transport logistics.

On August 10, Lopez drew more than 20,000 spectators to Almaty’s Central Stadium, including visitors from over 35 countries. The city tourism department estimated the concert’s multiplier effect at roughly 5 billion tenge (about $9.2 million), including spending on tickets, lodging, food, and guided tours.

The Jennifer Lopez concerts were part of the Up All Night: Live in 2025 world tour, which ran from July 8 to August 12, covering 20 cities in 13 countries.
